Eggless Doughnut / Donut



In this post we will see how to make Doughnut recipe.  Doughnut or Donut is a popular snack recipe around the world. This is the simple and easy method  of making doughnut using yeast. Once the doughnuts are made, they can be flavoured by making galazed doughnut  (using sugar syrup) chocolate doughnut, sprinkled with icing sugar.  We can also stuff them to make jelly stuffed doughnuts.  Once the basic version is done it is very easy to get creative with this recipe.  Today I'm doing Eggless Doughnut. If you want add egg, add 1 egg into the recipe, it is used to get the fluffy texture in the doughnut. If you prefer not to use egg add 1/4 cup of curd to the recipe

METHOD 

  • Flour - 300g
  • Yeast - 1/2 tbsp 
  • Butter - 1 tbsp
  • Pinch of salt 
  • Sugar - 1 tbsp
  • Sprinkles for decoratidecoration

For chocolate galazed

  • Cocoa powder - 75g
  • Sugar - 4 tbsp
  • Milk - 1/2 cup 
  • Butter - 1 tbsp
  • Instant coffee - pinch


METHOD 


1. Take lukewarm water (Do not use hot water) add to the yeast in a small bowl and mix well. 

2. Leave around 10 minutes or until it is activated. 



3. In a large bowl add flour , sugar and pinch of salt. Mix the dry ingredients gently. 



4. Finally add butter and yeast mixture. 



5. Mix all the ingredients and knead well. knead the dough with normal water.



6. Knead like soft dough.

7After that cover the dough with cotton towel. And leave around 1 hour.  (For double sized dough)



8. After 1 hour later , divide the dough in even sized balls. 



9.  Take one divided balls and spread that using rolling pin . Don't spread the dough too thin.



10. Now I'm a medium sized cup small sized bottle cap to cut the doughnut shape. If you have cookie cutter you can also used that. 



11. First cut the bigger sized cup. Then remove the dough around the cup.



12. Then the middle hole. Cut in the centre using bottle cap.



13. Set aside and let them to raise a bit. 



14. Heat oil in frying pan on medium flame. 

15. Drop the doughnuts to the oil slowly and carefully. 

16. Fry them till they turn into golden brown colour each sides.



For chocolate glaze

1. In a saucepan add milk cocoa powder, sugar and pinchof instant coffe (adding coffee just to enhance the chocalate taste.) And finally butter.




2. Mix everything together until the chocalate glaze thick. .








Now we are in the final stage of making chocolate glaze doughnut. 

Take a fried doughnut and dip the one side into the chocalate glaze.

Then sprinkle some colourcolourful Sprinkles on top.
