Bread Golapjam | Instant Gulab Jamun Recipe | How to make Bread Gulab Jamun
Gulab Jamun / Golapjam is a very popular South Asian sweet. It is as delicious as it looks beautiful. There are times when you want to make the sweet but you don't have all the ingredients in hand, you can then easily make Gulab Jamun by simply using bread. Although this Gulab Jamuns don't exactly taste like the regular Gulab Jamun yet this tastes very delicious. Hope you enjoy this shorts and easy recipe for bread Gulab Jamun!
INGREDIENTS
- Bread - 4 thick slices
- Powdered milk - 2 tbsp
- Thickened milk or cream - 80-100ml
- Oil - to deep fry
For Sugar Syrup
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Water - 1.5 cup
- Cardamom - 2 pieces
INGREDIENTS
- To make the sugar syrup, add sugar and water then mix well.
- When it's simmer add cardamom.
- Keep the sugar syrup in the low heat in the meantime we can start to make the bread dough. (But stir occasionally)
- Cut and remove the side crust of the bread and but the bread into cubes.
- Add the bread cubes to a blender jar then blend into crumbs.
- Transfer the crumbs to a bowl.
- Then add powdered milk to the bread and mix well.
- Add milk little by little and mix it to a soft dough.
- Then roll it into a little balls.
- Fry the balls until golden brown.
- Add the fried balls to the sugar syrup.
- Then switch off the flame.
- Serve warm or cold or with vanilla ice cream.
