Mahalaibia /Milk Pudding



Mahalabia Recipe | Malabi Pudding | Milk Pudding | Arabian Dessert 


INGREDIENTS 


  1. Milk - 2 cups
  2. Sugar - 1/2 cup 
  3. Corn Starch - 1/4 cup 
  4. Heavy cream - 1/2 cup 
  5. Rose water - 1/2 tsp 
  6. Dessicated coconut - 1 tbsp (each cup)

For Rose Syrup

  1. Sugar - 1/2 cup
  2. Water - 1/2 cup 
  3. Lemon juice - 1/2 tsp 
  4. Rose water - 1/2 tsp 
  5. Red Food Colour - 2 to 3 pinch


INSTRUCTIONS 


  • In a bowl add milk, sugar, cornstarch aand mix well. 

  • Then add heavy cream, rose water and mix again. 

  • Keep a saucepan in medium heat, then pour the milk mixture to the saucepan. 

  • Mix until thick creamy consistency. 

  • Then transfer the milk pudding to a dessert glasses.
  • Let it to cool to room temperature. 
  • Then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

  • Meanwhile to make rose syrup, Keep a saucepan in medium heat add sugar and water .

  • Mix until sugar dissolves.

  • When it's start to boiling add lemon juice, rose water and red food colour then mix well.
  • Switch off the flame when sugar thickened.

  • Take out the milk pudding from the fridge then pour the rose rose syrup on top.

  • Garnish with dessicated coconut and chopped Pistachios.
