Shahi Tukra | Shahi Tukda is an all time favourite royal dessert. This rich dessert has originated during the Mughal regin. The making process is easy and requires very few basic ingredients. Hope you like the recipe of this very delicious Shahi Tukra.


INGREDIENTS

  1. White bread - 6 pieces (triangle)
  2. Milk - 3 cups
  3. Condensed milk - 1/3 cup
  4. Kewra water - 1/2 tsp
  5. Sugar - 1/2 cup
  6. Water - 1/2 cup
  7. Cardamom - 3
  8. Saffron milk - 3 tsp
  9. Nuts - almonds, cashews, Pistachios


INGREDIENTS


  • In a saucepan add sugar, water, cardamom then mix until sugar dissolves in medium heat.
  •  The sugar syrup should be in one string form.

  • Cut and remove the sides of the bread and cut into triangle shape .

  • In a separate pan add milk in medium heat. 

  • After milk gets heat add condensed milk and mix well. 

  • When milk gets thick add saffron milk and mix well, until it gets thick.

  • Now add chopped nuts and mix then switch off the flame.

  • In a pan add 2 tsp of oil and toast the bread slices until golden brown both the sides in medium heat. 

  • Then take the toasted bread and dip in the sugar syrup. 

  • Arrange the dipped bread slices in a plate then pour the milk on top.

  • Garnish with rose petals. (Optional)
  • Chill before serve.
