Fluffy Japanese Pancake


Fluffy Japanese Pancakes in just 20 Minutes | Pancake Recipe

Japanese souffle pancakes are super fluffy and airy also very soft and moist at the same time. These fluffy pancakes are very popular in Japan and how you are loving them from across the world. The ingredients for the Japanese pancake are pretty much same as regular pancakes but the beaten egg whites, which are the secret ingredient in the recipe.  The air bubbles created from the egg whites hold their shape inside the batter which actually makes the pancake super fluffy and airy.


INGREDIENTS 

  1. Eggs - 2 large size
  2. Milk - 3 tbsp 
  3. Sugar - 2 tbsp 
  4. Salt - 1 pinch 
  5. Vanilla essence - 1/2 tsp 
  6. Oil - 1 tbsp 
  7. All purpose flour - 1/2 cup 
  8. Baking Powder - 1 tsp 
  9. Sugar - 1 tbsp 

INSTRUCTIONS 


  • In a bowl separate the egg yolks and whites.

  • Add milk, sugar, salt,  vanilla essence, oil to the egg yolks.

  • Then mix well with a whisk.

  • Then sieve and add add all purpose flour and baking powder sift together. 

  • Then mix all the ingredients. 

  • Now beat the egg whites on medium speed on electric beater.
  • After 2 minutes add sugar and beat 2 to 3 minutes. 
  • Beat until stiff peaks form.

  • Add the egg whites batter in 3 parts to the flour mixture. 
  • Do not over mix. 

  • Carefully fold the last part into the batter.
  • Make sure not to break the air bubbles. 

  • Grease pan with oil in low heat. 
  • Pour 2 to 3 spoons of batter.

  • Then wait for 2 minutes and another spoon on top.
  • Cover and cook for 5 minutes. 

  • Carefully flip it over and cover and cook for another 5 minutes. 

  • Finally dust with ice sugar before serving.
