Chow Mein


Chow Mein |Chinese Restaurant Style Noodles |Vegetable Chow Mein Recipe | Chinese Noodles


Chow Mein is class Chinese dish loved by people from all over the world. It is a very quick and healthy dish because it only takes around 15-20 minutes to make chow mein. This is the vegetable version of chow mein but you can cook it with chicken also.



INGREDIENTS

  1. Instant noodles - 1 packet
  2. Red & Green capsicum - 1/2 cup
  3. Carrot - 1 cup
  4. Spring onions - 1/2 cup
  5. Onion - 1
  6. Red chillies - 2
  7. Chopped garlic - 1 tbsp
  8. Chopped ginger - 1 tbsp
  9. Salt - to taste
  10. Corn flour - 1 tbsp
  11. Black pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
  12. Light soy sauce - 1 tsp
  13. Dark soy sauce - 1 tsp


INSTRUCTIONS



  • In a saucepan keep enough water to boil the noodles add salt and oil.
  • Bring it to simmer.

  • Then add noodles, cook the noodles for 4 minutes or the time mentioned in the packet.

  • Drain the noodles into colander or sieve and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.

  • Keep a pan in high heat and add 2 tbsp of oil.
  • Then add garlic, ginger, onions fry for few seconds. 

  • Then add carrots and Saute. 


  • Also add capsicum sauté for few minutes. 

  • Mix Cornflour with 1 tbsp of water and mix well.
    Then pour this to the veggies and stir. 

  • At this stage add noodles and mix mix mix. 

  • Now add light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, salt and pepper mix well. 
  • Finally add spring onions then mix well I'm high heat. 

  • Transfer to a plate and serve.
