Chow Mein |Chinese Restaurant Style Noodles |Vegetable Chow Mein Recipe | Chinese Noodles
Chow Mein is class Chinese dish loved by people from all over the world. It is a very quick and healthy dish because it only takes around 15-20 minutes to make chow mein. This is the vegetable version of chow mein but you can cook it with chicken also.
INGREDIENTS
- Instant noodles - 1 packet
- Red & Green capsicum - 1/2 cup
- Carrot - 1 cup
- Spring onions - 1/2 cup
- Onion - 1
- Red chillies - 2
- Chopped garlic - 1 tbsp
- Chopped ginger - 1 tbsp
- Salt - to taste
- Corn flour - 1 tbsp
- Black pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
- Light soy sauce - 1 tsp
- Dark soy sauce - 1 tsp
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a saucepan keep enough water to boil the noodles add salt and oil.
- Bring it to simmer.
- Then add noodles, cook the noodles for 4 minutes or the time mentioned in the packet.
- Drain the noodles into colander or sieve and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.
- Keep a pan in high heat and add 2 tbsp of oil.
- Then add garlic, ginger, onions fry for few seconds.
- Then add carrots and Saute.
- Also add capsicum sauté for few minutes.
- Mix Cornflour with 1 tbsp of water and mix well.
Then pour this to the veggies and stir.
- At this stage add noodles and mix mix mix.
- Now add light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, salt and pepper mix well.
- Finally add spring onions then mix well I'm high heat.
- Transfer to a plate and serve.
