This chicken stir fry is almost as simple as it gets. It begins with a few cubed chicken breast., even though chicken thighs work well. I like to begin with the chicken when I'm making a mix fry since s they brown, they make a layer of flavour withinv the skillet. When the veggies get added, they pickup a few of that flavour and after that create their own. It is these layer that donate so much depth of this easy formula and after that it's time for the sauce.
INGREDIENTS
- Chicken breast - 500g
- Salt - 1 tsp
- Black pepper - 1/2 tsp
- Minced garlic - 1 tsp
- Mince ginger - 1 tsp
- Dark soy sauce - 1 tbsp
- Cornstarch - 1 tbsp
- Water - 1/2 cup
- Soy sauce - 4 tbsp
- White vinegar - 1 tbsp
- Tomato ketchup - 2 tbsp
- Honey - 2 tbsp
- Cornflour - 2 tbsp
- Cooking oil - - 3 tbsp
- Grated ginger - 2 tsp
- Grated garlic - 2 tsp
- Chill flakes - 1 tsp
- Onion - 1 medium size
- Green bell pepper - 1 medium size
- Red bell pepper - 1 medium size
INSTRUCTIONS
- Cut the chicken into small pieces.
- Then add salt, pepper powder, minced ginger, minced garlic, dark soy sauce and cornstarch.
- Mix well and marinate the chicken for 30 minutes.
- For the stir fry sauce. In a small bowl add water, soy sauce, vinegar, ketchup, honey , corn flour.
- Mix everything well without any lumps. Keep aside.
- Keep a pan in medium high heat add oil also add the marinated chicken and cook 4 to 5 minutes.
- Then take out from the pan and keep aside.
- In the same pan add 1 tbsp oil cooking oil , grated ginger and garlic, chili flakes cook for 30 seconds.
- Then add onions, red and green bell pepper cook for 4 to 5 minutes.
- Also add salt to taste.
- Now add the prepared sauce mixture and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes.
- Now add the fried chicken to the sauce cook for 1 more minute.
- Switch off the flame and transfer to a plate then serve.
