Golapjam / Gulab Jamun is a very delicious milk solid based sweet. It is a very popular dessert across the South Asian Countries. This Gulabjamun mainly known as Lalmohon in Bengali and it is very much loved by people. In this post I have shared the easy recipe of gulabjamun using milk powder. Hope you like the recipe.


INGREDIENTS

  1. Milk Powder - 1 cup
  2. All purpose flour - 2 tbsp
  3. Semolina - 1 tbsp
  4. Baking powder - 1 tsp
  5. Ghee - 1 tbsp
  6. Beaten eggs - 2
  7. Sugar - 2 cups
  8. Water - 2 cups
  9. Cardamom - 3
  10. Saffron - 1 pinch
  11. Lemon - half


INSTRUCTIONS

  • In a large bowl add milk, all purpose flour, semolina, baking powder mix all the dry ingredients. 

  • Now add ghee mix well with the flour mixture until crumbs. 

  •  Then add eggs mix the dough with low pressure. If required add some more water to make soft dough.

  • Apply some ghee or oil on your palm and make small balls with the dough. (the ball should not be Crack in any side.)

  •  In a pan add sugar, water , cardamom and mix until sugar dissolves and let that to boil for few minutes. 

  • When sugar syrup boil add saffron and mix finally add squeeze the lemon juice to the sugar syrup mix well. 

  • Meanwhile, in a frying pan add oil to fry the balls.

  • Then add the balls fry until golden brown. 

  • Add the fried balls to the sugar syrup directly from the oil.

  • Let it to boil in the sugar syrup in medium heat for 5-10 minutes. Cover and cook. 

  • Soft and fluffy Gulab Jamun is ready to serve. 

  • Then switch off and serve cool or with ice cream
