FRIED BETWEEN SLICES OF BREAD



     INGREDIENTS 



  • Mozzarella cheese 
  • Thin slices of bread 
  • Chopped canned fish tempered with onions and 
  • pepper 
  • Fine breadcrumbs 3/4 cup butter 



METHOD 



  1. Using a suitable knife, cut mozzarella into slices. Beat the egg in a bowl. 
  2. Add the milk whisking until combined. Using a fork, turn and soak the bread slices in the egg - milk mixture. 
  3. Place slices of mozzarella on a slice of bread,  sprinkle on the tempered canned fish. 
  4. Lay the remaining slices of bread on top,  pressing firmly together.  
  5. Pour the fine breadcrumbs onto a plate and coat the sandwich in them.
  6. Heat the butter in a frying pan and put in the sandwiches. 
  7. Shallow fry the sandwiches on both sides until golden brown, turning as necessary.  
  8. Serve with ketchup.
