Seekh Kebabs actually means kebabs on a skewers, made with minced meat mixed with few spices and formed into cylinder on skewers then grilled. Traditionally seekh kebabs are made on a barbecue grill or in a tandoor over coals, which adds more colour and flavour to the kebabs. But everybody doesn't own a grill or tandoor at home. So there is a very simple way of making these kebabs at home, you can literally make them on a grill pan or even on a frying pan and they taste as amazing as the restaurant ones. Few simple ingredients and these kebabs come together in no time, they are so easy to make. So any one can make these kababs at any time.
INGREDIENTS
- Minced meat - 500g (Mutton/chicken)
- Green chilies - 4 small size
- Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup
- Onions - 1 medium size
- Ginger & Garlic paste - 1 tbsp
- Salt - 1 tsp
- Black pepper - 1/2 tsp
- Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
- Chili flakes - 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
- Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
- Wooden skewers
Way To Cook
- In a food processor add minced meat, green chilies, coriander leaves and a paste.
- But don't turn it into smooth paste.
- Grate the onion to a bowl.
- Then squeeze the onion water out completely.
- Then in a large bowl add minced meat paste. Squeezed onions, ginger & Garlic paste, salt, pepper powder, red chilli powder, chilli flakes, cumin powder, coriander powder and mix well until incorporate.
- Then cover mixture and refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours.
- Now dip your hands in water.
- Then take a portion of minced mixture.
- Also take a wooden skewers.
- Then form into cylinder on skewers.
- Allow to your finger mark be in it. It gives you extra shape to your kebabs.
- In a medium heat grill pan or normal frying pan add some oil and spread.
- Then grill the kebabs.
- Brush the kebabs with oil.
- Keep the skewers 3 to 4 minutes each side.
- Then serve your loved ones.
