TRADITIONAL NEW YORK CHEESE CAKE




 INGREDIENTS                   SERVES 12


Plain sweet Biscuits ..250g
  • Melted butter ...125g
  • Cream cheese, softened....500g
  • Caster Sugar ...3/4 cup
  • Sour cream..... 3/4 cup
  • Vanilla extract......... 1 tsp
  • Finely grated Lemon Rind .....1 tsp
  • Egg....... 3





      METHOD 


  1. Preheat oven to 160 degree Celsius. Grease a 6 Cm deep, 22 Cm round spring - form cake pan.
  2. Process biscuits until mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs. 
  3. Add butter and combine. Press mixture over base and sides of the pan with a 2 Cm gap from top.
  4. Process cream cheese, sugar,sour cream, vanilla and lemon Rind until smooth. 
  5. Add eggs 1 at a time, processing until just combined. 
  6. Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 1 hour or until just set and centre wobbles slightly.
  7. switch off oven, allow to cool in oven for 2 hours, with door slightly opened.
  8. Serve with berries.
