Homemade Nutella

In this post we are going to see how to make Nutella recipe at home. This homemade Nutella is going to be made without hazelnut. (If you could find hazelnut easily you can use that also.) I have made this recipe using almonds instead of cashew nuts will work as well. There are two important grinding steps, the first grinding is the sugar and cocoa powder, this need to be as fine as possible. This will create the finish if Nutella, the next grinding is that of the roasted cashew nuts, in this case we want to grind in pluses till the oil ozzes out from the cashews and it should turn into a paste. If we rush through any of these steps the final product will have a gritty texture. Scrape the sides of the mixture and grind it in pulses for about 20 times

I have used unsweetened Dutch processed cocoa in this recipe, this creates a mellow taste and has a dark colour. Homemade Nutella can easily prepared at fraction of the cost and if cocoa powder is not available, we can also use 100g of melted bar chchocolate as an alternative.

Friends please do try this homemade Nutella recipe at home and this chocolate spread will be great on bread and will taste absolutely amazing. Also please do share your feedback about the recipe in the comment below.

INGREDIENTS

  • Cashew nuts - 1 cup
(You can also use cashew nuts 100g and peanuts either. If you are using peanut with cashew nuts then separately dry roast the peanut.)

  • Cocoa powder - 25g (1/4 cup)
( If you do not have cocoa powder then you can also use 100g of melted bar chocolate)

  • Sugar - 100g (1/2 cup)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Sunflower oil or vegetable oil or butter - 3 to 4 tbsp

METHOD

1. First keep a pan in the medium flame and add cashew nuts to the pan.

2. Dry roast the cashew nuts till they turned into golden brown colour.

3. Add cocoa powder and sugar to grinder jar and grind well.
(This is the most important step in the recipe so make sure that the powder should be very fine.)

4. This is how the fine powder should be.

5.  After you grind, take a tiny hole strainer and shift the powder. Avoid the final small granules.

6. Our final cocoa and sugar fine powder.

7. Now add the roasted cashew nuts to grinder jar and start to pulse.

8. When you doing this step your grinder will heat if it's happened , wait for a minute or 2 then start to pulse again.

9. Scrape the sides of the grinder and grind it in pulses for about 20 times.

10. When you pulse the cashews nut will start to separate oil firm the nuts. It's look like a cashew paste.

11. Now add the cocoa and sugar powder to the cashew paste. And grind well.

12.  Finally add the oil to the paste. If you add 3 tbsp  of oil the Nutella spread will be little thick. If you add 4 tbsp of oil it will be look like thin spread.

14. Your Homemade Nutella is ready to spread on bread, cakes, cupcakes or muffin to decorate.
