How to make easy and tasty homemade Motichoor Ladoo




In this post we will learn to how to make Motichoor Ladoo recipe explained with pictures.  Motichoor laddu/ or kutty muthu laddu is made using smaller sized boondi jhara for making boondi.  This can be made from the regular sized boondi by crushing it in a mixer. Once the small pearls are soaked in sugar syrup, they taste absolutely amazing. Motichoor laddu is very popular sweet during the festival season. and is often distributed during celebrations.

INGREDIENTS 

  • Besan or chana flour - 500g
  • Kesar food colour 
  • Water
  • Oil - For frying 
  • You need a holes spatula 
  • Cashews - for decorating 
For sugar syrup
  • For 1 kg boondi equal weight of sugar 
  • Sugar - 1 kg
  • Water
  • Cardamom powder - 1 tbsp
  • Kesar food colour - 2 tbsp


METHOD 


  1. Take a bowl and shift the Besan / chana flour. 


2. Then add Kesar food colour to the flour.  Then mix well.



3. Now add enough water to mix the flour. The consistency should be watery but not much watery. You can see in the picture below. 👇 
  



4. Now , we are going to fry the flour mixture. Keep a frying pan in the flame. 

5. Add enough oil for frying. 

6. After oil gets heat , turn the flame to low flame to avoid the burnt. 




7. Now take your holes spatula and keep the spatula top of the oil. As picture shown below. 👇 

8. Then take a spoon full of flour mixture and pour the mixture to holes spatula. 

9. Just tap the holes spatula on something or with a spoon so that it will easily fall to the oil.



10. You will get little little boondi like pearls. 

11. Then take out the boondi after they turned into golden orange colour. 

12. Do not fry too much. 

13. Keep the fried boondi in separate bowl.


Now we are going to make sugar syrup. 


14.  Keep a pan the the flame add sugar.
 


15. Then add water just to cover sugar.



16. Then add Kesar food colour. Mix well.



17. When the sugar syrup starts to bubble up add cardamom powder to the syrup, Mix well.



18. After sugar syrup boil add the fried boondi to the sugar syrup.




19. Mix well. Keep some minutes in low flame to boondi soak in the sugar syrup.



20. After some minutes the sugar syrup elaborate, switch off the flame.



21. Transfer the boondi to a another bowl.



22. Cover that with kitchen tissue the let that to cool down.


23.  After its completely cooled down. Start to do balls. 

24. It can be small or big ball it's your wish.

25. I'm making medmedium sized ladoos.

26. To do Ladoo take handful of boondi and press the boondi using your two hands. Press tightly then make medium sized ladoos. 



27. I'm using cashews to decorate the Ladoo
