INGREDIENTS

  1. cooking oil - 1/4 cup
  2. Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  3. Cardamom - 4 pieces
  4. Cloves - 4 pieces
  5. Cinnamon - 1 stick
  6. Bay leaves - 2 pieces
  7. Chopped onions - 1 cup
  8. Ginger paste - 1 tbsp
  9. Garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  10. Chopped tomatoes - 2 medium size
  11. Chicken - 1 kg
  12. Salt - 2 tsp
  13. Cumin powder - 1 tsp
  14. Coriander powder - 2 tsp
  15. Red chilli powder - 2 tsp
  16. Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
  17. Hot water - 2 cups
  18. Green chilies - 4 pieces
  19. Garam masala - 1/2 tsp


INSTRUCTIONS 

  • Keep a pan in medium high heat and add oil, cumin seeds, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon,  bay leaves and fry for 30 seconds. 

  • Then add onions sauté until slightly brown. 

  • Now add ginger & Garlic paste and mix.

  • Add tomatoes cook until softened. 

  • Now add the chicken and mix well.

  • Add salt, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder , turmeric powder mix everything well.

  • Now add the hot water.

  • Cover and cook for 10 minutes in medium low heat.

  • Finally add  green chilies and garam masala cook another 5 to 6 minutes.
  • Serve with paratha and rice.
