Aloo porota |Easy and perfect aloo paratha |Aloo paratha recipe
Aloo paratha is a perfect combination of spicy mashed potato and flat bread, one of the tastiest breakfast one can have in the morning.
INGREDIENTS
- All purpose flour - 1.5 cup
- Salt - 1/2 tsp
- Oil - 2 tsp
- Luke Warm Water - 1/2 cup
- Boiled potatoes - 3 medium size
- Oil - 1.5 tbsp
- Chopped Onions - 1/2 cup
- Ginger & Garlic paste - 1 tsp
- Salt - 1/2 tsp
- Black pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
- Garam masala -1/2 tsp
- Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
- Chaat masala - 1/2 tsp
- Chopped coriander - 2 tbsp
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a mixing bowl add flour, salt , oil then mix all the ingredients incorporated.
- Then add water little by little and mix until soft dough.
- Apply some oil on top, cover and keep aside to rest for 30 minutes.
- Mash the boiled potatoes.
- Keep a pan in high heat add oil and onions saute for few minutes.
- Then add ginger and garlic paste, green chilies sauté for 2 minutes.
- Now add mashed potato and mix well. Also add salt, pepper powder, garam masala, cumin powder, red chilli powder, Chaat masala then mix well.
- Finally add chopped coriander leaves and switch off the flame
- Transfer to a plate and let it to cool.
- Make medium size balls in the dough and the potatoes mixture.
- Spread the dough and keep a potato ball on the centre and seal all the sides.
- Dust in some flour and spread to 1/4 inch of thickness using a rolling pin.
- Keep a frying pan in medium heat put the prepared paratha to cook both the sides until brown spot found.

- Apply some ghee when it's fluffy.
- When it's fluffy and cooked well take out from the pan.
- Enjoy your breakfast.
