Tandoori Chicken Without Oven



In post we are going to make Tandoori Chicken without oven. Tandoori Chicken is mouth watering chicken very popular in the south Asian subcontinent. Typically Tandoori Chicken is prepared in a tandoori cylindrical clay oven. But to make tandoori chicken at home you can use an oven or you can make it in the stove by following this recipe steps making a tondoori. Hope you enjoy this recipe.

INGREDIENTS 

  • Chicken whole leg piece - 4 
  • Red chilli powder - 1 tsp 
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/2tsp 
  • Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp 
  • Cumin powder - 1 tsp 
  • Garam masala - 1/2 tsp 
  • Salt - 1 tsp 
  • Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp 
  • Ginger & Garlic paste - 1 tbsp 
  • Lemon juice - 2 tbsp 
  • Yougert or curd - 1/4 cup 
  • Red food colour - 1 / 8 tsp ( optional ) 
  • Oil - 2 tbsp 
  • Butter - 1 tsp 

METHOD 

1. Clean the chicken and put deep cuts in the flesh of the chicken. 



2. Add all the spices : red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, salt, pepper powder, ginger and garlic paste and lemon juice. 

3. Mix well until all the spices should go in the deep cuts of the chicken. 



4. Then add Yougert or curd and red food colour to the chicken.  Mix again. 

(Red food colour is completely optional if you don't want to use the food colour then you can skip that. Instead of food colour you can also use Kashmiri red chilli powder, it will give nice reddish colour.)



5Mix well. 



6. Marinate the chicken overnight or at least 2 hours in the refrigerator. 



7. Take out the chicken after marinated and let that to come room temperature. 

8. After that ad oil to the chicken and mix well.   



9. Take heavy bottom pan and add butter then keep the chicken pieces on the pan and fry on medium low flame.  



10. Close with a lid and fry.



11. Flip over chicken even 2 minutes. 



12.  Fry until the black spot emerged. 



13. Tandoori Chicken has a smoky flavour when you make it in the cylindrical stove.

14. We ar making the tandoori chicken in the gas stove so we are going to apply a trick to get that smoky flavour. 

15. Take Coal and hold that with any holder and directly show that to the fire. 

16. Then add that heated coal to a small bowl and add little oil.

17. Keep the bowl on the pan we fry  chicken and close it with a lid. Open after 2 to 3 minutes. 



Serve with mint chutney and piece of lemon .
