Creamy Coconut chicken

INGREDIENTS 


  1. Boneless chicken - 500g
  2. Oil - 3 tbsp 
  3. Dried red chilli - 2 small size 
  4. Chopped Onions - 1 cup
  5. Ginger & Garlic paste - 2 tsp 
  6. Green Chilies - 2 medium size
  7. Salt - to taste
  8. Black pepper - 1/2 tsp 
  9. Red chilli powder - 1 tsp 
  10. Cumin powder - 1 tsp 
  11. Coriander powder - 1 tsp 
  12. Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
  13. Garam masala - 1 tsp 
  14. Water - 1/4 cup 
  15. Tomatoes - 2 small size 
  16. Thick coconut milk - 1 cup 
  17. Chopped coriander leaves - 1 tbsp 


INSTRUCTIONS 


  • Keep a pan in medium high heat and add oil, dried chilies and onions. Sauté until translucent. 
  • Then add ginger and garlic paste (alternatively you can use grated garlic & ginger) and green chilies sauté for few seconds. 

  • Now add all the spices powders: salt , black pepper powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and garam masala. 
  • Give them a quick stir.

  • Now add water and cook for 2-3 minutes until oil separates. 

  • Add the chicken and mix well with the curry.

  • And also add tomatoes.  Cover and cook for 5 minutes. 

  • Open the lid and mix then add the coconut milk. Cook for 10 more minutes. 

  • Add some coriander leaves on top.
  • Then take off from the heat.
