INGREDIENTS
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Water - 1 cup
- Lemon juice - 1 tsp
- Rose water - 1 tsp
- Eggs - 1 tsp
- Sugar - 1/2 cup
- Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
- Semolina - 1.5 cup
- Desiccated coconut -1/2 cup
- Yogurt - 1 cup
- Melted butter - 1/2 cup
- All purpose flour - 1/2 cup
- Baking Powder - 1 tsp
INSTRUCTIONS
- Keep a saucepan in high heat and add sugar and water.
- After sugar dissolves completely add lemon juice and rose water then mix well.
- Then after 1 minute switch off the flame.
- And set aside the sugar syrup.
- In a large bowl add eggs, sugar and vanilla essence mix with a whisk until sugar dissolves.
- Then in the same bowl add semolina, desiccated coconut, yogurt, melted butter and mix well.
- Then sieve and add flour and baking powder.
- Then mix well the batter.
- Take a 9×11 baking tray and grease that with butter or ghee.
- Then transfer the cake batter to the tray.
- Evelyn spread the mixture with a spatula.
- Bake 20 to 25 minutes at 180*C on preheated oven.
- Then take out from the oven and cut into pieces.
- Now pour the sugar syrup on top.
- If you are a sweet lover you go crazy for this cake.
- Garnish with chopped Pistachios.
