INGREDIENTS
For Marination
- Pomfret Fish - 1 kg
- Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Salt - to taste
- Lemon - 2 tbsp
- Oil - 1/2 cup
- Onion - 1.5 cup
- Green chilies - 5 small size
- Salt - to taste
- Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp
INSTRUCTIONS
- Clean the fish well and put cuts on the fish.
- Then pat dry the excess water in the fish using a tissue paper.
- In a small ball add Chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, lemon mix well until paste.
- Apply the spice mix on the fish and keep aside to marinate for 1 hour.
- In a frying pan in medium heat add oil.
- After oil gets heat fry the fish.
- Fry the fish 5 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
- Transfer the fried fish to a plate and keep aside.
- In the same pan with oil add onions sauté well.
- Close with the lid and cook for 5 minutes on medium heat.
- After onions are brown in colour add green chilies, salt, chili powder, turmeric powder cook well.
- Then keep aside the masala on the pan then keep the fried fish on the other side of the pan.
- Cover the fish with onion masala.
- Close with the lid and cook for about 5 minutes on medium heat.
- Then flip to the other side then sprinkle the coriander leaves close with the lid cook another 5 minutes.
- Serve hot with lemon.
